A mentor of mine once told me something that I will never forget...

"You are able to provide your clients with not just design....but with your brain, your attention, your creative imagination and your unique design aesthetic.  You are not just selling a logo, or a brochure, or an editorial layout... You are actually selling  peace of mind. You are selling your expertise and knowledge, through design, by applying it to your clients specific needs. That alone has value."

This has always resonated with me, and I have taken it with me throughout my career. Value is not just in design; it is in performance, communication, efficiency, productivity, and most importantly, it is in the ability to take a vision and translate that vision through design. 

Over the years, this ideology has been used to create identities for countless brands and most recently, for myself.
